Your Orthodontist
Meet Dr. Robert Ogden
Some practices hand you off to whoever is available that day. At Ogden Orthodontics, Dr. Ogden plans your treatment himself and checks your progress at every visit.
He has practiced orthodontics for 30 years, and the practice is family owned, with offices in Windermere, Clermont, and Mount Dora. When you start treatment here, you know exactly who is responsible for your result.
Dr. Ogden earned his DDS from Case Western Reserve University and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Florida. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and has treated Windermere families since 1994.

Every Option Under One Roof
Braces
Modern braces are smaller and more comfortable than the ones you remember. They work around the clock with no effort from you, which makes them a strong choice for complex cases and for kids who might misplace an aligner. And yes, your teen can still play sports and instruments. A mouthguard handles game day.

Invisalign
Clear aligners straighten teeth without anyone noticing at work or school. They come out for meals and photos. Dr. Ogden will tell you honestly whether your case is a good fit.

Early Treatment for Kids
Some jaw and bite problems are far easier to correct while a child is still growing. That can include a palatal expander like the Leaf Expander, a spring-loaded expander that works gradually on its own, with no key for parents to turn at home.

Orthodontics for Adults
Many of our adult patients are parents who started treatment after bringing their kids in. Straight teeth are easier to clean and keep healthy at any age. It is not too late.

What Treatment Costs
No two smiles cost the same, so we will not quote you a number before we have seen your teeth. Your consultation is free, and you leave it with an exam, a clear explanation of your options, and a written price before you commit to anything.
Most major dental insurance plans include orthodontic benefits, and we will check yours for you. In-house financing and Cherry payment plans let you pay over time, and we offer military discounts.

What Windermere Families Say
Common Questions
Windermere Orthodontist FAQ
How much do braces or Invisalign cost in Windermere?
Cost depends on how far your teeth need to move and how long treatment takes. At your consultation we examine your smile, walk you through your options, and give you a written price before you commit to anything. Cherry payment plans let you start treatment and pay over time.
What age should my child first see an orthodontist?
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first checkup by age 7. Most kids do not need treatment that early, but catching jaw and bite problems while a child is still growing can mean shorter and simpler treatment later.
Should I choose braces or Invisalign?
It depends on your teeth and your habits. Braces work around the clock without any effort from you. Invisalign is nearly invisible and comes out for meals, but it only works if you wear it 20 to 22 hours a day. Dr. Ogden will tell you which one fits your case.
Do you treat adults?
Yes. Many of our patients are adults, including parents who started treatment after bringing their kids in.
How long does treatment take?
Most patients finish in 12 to 24 months. Simple cases can be shorter. You get a time estimate at your consultation, and we track progress at every visit.
Does getting braces hurt?
Getting braces put on does not hurt. Teeth are usually sore for a few days afterward and after adjustments. Soft foods and over the counter pain relief cover it, and most patients stop noticing their braces within a week or two.
Can my teen play sports or instruments with braces?
Yes. For sports we recommend an orthodontic mouthguard, which is made to fit over braces. Band and orchestra players usually need a week or two to adjust, then play like normal. Invisalign is another option for athletes since it comes out for games.
