Indirect Bonding

Indirect bonding is a method of applying brackets for braces to the teeth in such a manner that an entire set of braces can be applied, including expanders, in less than an hour. Traditionally, braces are placed on each individual tooth, one at a time. The procedure required meticulous, long, painstaking sessions for both patient and doctor, to ensure each bracket was in the correct position, especially in the back of the mouth.

Indirect bonding is a technique in which molds of the teeth are made, and most of the work for the braces is done in the lab. It is a remarkable process that depends on our ability to make particularly accurate models of your teeth. Much detail goes into the accurate measurement and alignment of the model, since your mouth is naturally unique to you.

Self Ligating Braces

Self ligating braces at Ogden Orthodontics offer a modern, efficient approach to straightening teeth. These braces use a built in clip system rather than elastic ties to hold the wire in place, which reduces friction and allows teeth to move more naturally. As a result, many patients experience improved comfort and smoother progress throughout treatment when compared with traditional braces.

Because self ligating braces are designed for efficiency, they often require fewer adjustments and shorter appointments. Dr. Ogden carefully plans and monitors each case to ensure precise tooth movement and predictable results. This advanced system, combined with personalized care, helps patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a comfortable and convenient way.

Itero Scanner

The iTero Element Scanner is a state-of-the-art digital scanning system that eliminates the need for unpleasant traditional alginate impressions—no more messy putty in your mouth! With our iTero Element Scanner, we can digitally capture a detailed, 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is an iTero Element digital scan far more comfortable than the old putty-based impressions, but it’s faster and provides images that are more precise.

The iTero Element Scanner will give us a 3D model of your mouth that we can use with all orthodontic services, including the Invisalign Outcome Simulator, to show you what your new smile might look like.
