Something about your kid's teeth is bothering you. Maybe the dentist pointed it out. Maybe you saw a video about mouth breathing and now you notice it every night. Crooked teeth. A bite that looks off. Or maybe it is your own smile you have put off for years. The internet has a thousand opinions about what it means.
You do not need a thousand opinions. You need one person to actually look. Dr. Robert Ogden has been doing exactly that at his Clermont office since 1994. The consultation is free, and you leave with a plain answer: treat it now, watch and wait, or nothing to worry about, with the price in writing before you decide anything. You walk out knowing exactly where you stand, with one less thing on your mind tonight.
Schedule a free consultationHow it works
You do not have to be ready for braces to be ready for answers.
Call (352) 242-0003 or schedule online. The visit is free, and nobody asks for a commitment to get on the calendar.
A full exam, a digital scan, and a plain answer: treat it now, watch and wait, or nothing to worry about. If treatment makes sense, the price goes in writing.
Ready to go? We can often start treatment the same day, so you are not booking another appointment just to begin. Want to think it over? The written plan is yours to take home either way.
Our Clermont roots
Dr. Ogden finished his orthodontic residency at the University of Florida in 1994 and started treating patients in Clermont that same year. The city has changed a lot since then. Many of the parents bringing their kids in today grew up here when US 27 was mostly citrus groves, and some of them sat in Dr. Ogden's chair themselves as teenagers.
That kind of continuity matters in orthodontics. Treatment runs a year or two, and growing kids are often watched for years before braces ever go on. At a practice owned by one orthodontist, you see the same doctor at every visit, from the first consultation to the day the braces come off. Your treatment plan never gets handed to whoever happens to be rotating through the office that month.
The doctor behind the practice
Dr. Ogden earned his DDS from Case Western Reserve University, completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Florida, and opened his Clermont practice the same year he finished. He plans every case himself and checks your progress personally at every visit, in Clermont and at both of his other Central Florida offices.
Visiting us
We are at 1381 Citrus Tower Boulevard, Suite 102, on the road named for Clermont's most famous landmark. The office sits just east of US 27, a few minutes from State Road 50 and the Florida's Turnpike interchange at Minneola, with free parking at the door.
Families come to the Clermont office from Minneola, Groveland, Mascotte, and Montverde, along with the Four Corners area to the south. If you are closer to Windermere or Mount Dora, we have an office there too, and your records follow you if you ever need to switch.

Dr. Ogden does not start treatment just because a patient showed up. He starts it when the timing gives you the shortest path to a stable result. Here is what that can look like at the Clermont office.
Traditional brackets, self-ligating brackets, and custom 3D-printed LightForce braces, all placed with indirect bonding, which means positioning is planned digitally before anything touches your teeth. Precise placement up front is a big part of why treatment finishes on schedule.
See how our braces workWe are an award-winning Invisalign office, and Dr. Ogden plans every aligner case himself. If your bite would finish better in braces, he will say so at the consultation instead of selling you aligners anyway.
See how Invisalign worksWe check kids around age seven, and most of them do not need anything yet. When growth guidance helps, tools like expanders do the work while your child is still growing. When it does not, we watch and wait instead of rushing your child into appliances.
Learn about early treatmentTeeth move at any age. Plenty of Clermont parents start their own treatment after watching their kids finish, and the free consultation works the same way for you as it does for them.

Plenty of offices in Lake County can put brackets on teeth. The question is who plans your case and who answers when something feels off at month nine. At Ogden Orthodontics, that person is Dr. Ogden, an orthodontist who has planned and finished thousands of cases in this community over thirty years. The Clermont office treats kids starting around age seven, teens in full treatment, and adults who put their own smile off for decades.

Cost and insurance
No two smiles cost the same, and any office quoting you a number before an exam is guessing. Here is how we keep cost from being the scary part.
A written price at your free consultationExam first, then a number on paper. Nothing starts until you have both.
We check your insurance for youMost major dental plans include orthodontic benefits. Our team verifies yours before treatment starts, so there are no surprises later.
Ways to pay over timeIn-house financing and Cherry payment plans spread the cost out, and we offer military discounts.

Common questions
Dr. Ogden examines your teeth and bite, takes any records needed, and tells you plainly whether treatment makes sense now, later, or not at all. You leave with a written price and a recommended plan. There is no obligation to start.
Yes. The Clermont office provides both Invisalign and braces, and Dr. Ogden will tell you at your consultation which one fits your case. Some bites respond better to braces, and it is better to know that before you spend money on aligners.
Most cases run 12 to 24 months. The range depends on how far your teeth need to move, how your body responds, and how consistently you wear your appliances. You get a time estimate for your specific case at the consultation, not a guess.
Adjustment visits are usually every four to six weeks. Appointments run efficiently, and the front desk works around school and work schedules, so most visits will not eat your afternoon.
No. You can schedule directly with our office, and many families do. We coordinate with your dentist during treatment so your cleanings and checkups stay on track.
Most major dental plans include orthodontic benefits, and our team checks yours before treatment starts so you know what is covered. Anything your plan does not cover can go on a Cherry payment plan or in-house financing.
